Report a suspicious file
If a file we host looks wrong to you — the signature, the hash, or how it behaves — tell us here. This channel is separate from copyright reports so neither waits behind the other.
We are not an antivirus service and this is not a malware analysis queue. We check the signature of every file we host and cache a third-party VirusTotal reading; what we can act on is a file that does not match what its card says.
What actually happens
- Your report is recorded and given a reference you can quote. Keep it: the confirmation page is the only receipt we issue — we do not send one by email.
- An operator reviews it. A file that looks dangerous is taken out of public serving first and looked at afterwards.
- If we stop accepting that file, we say so in the record. Nothing is deleted from our side without a person deciding it.
Useful to include: the exact SHA-256 you downloaded, where you got it, and what you observed. If your file's hash differs from the one on the card, it is not the file we serve.
